Mentoring
In my 15 years of academic publishing I have never met another publisher like John. Unlike many publishers I have known, John is accessible, has maintained continued and strong contact with me over two decades, and has used his own time to mentor me in the revision of a self-help book that was contracted with another publishing house. His feedback and guidance have always been unerringly on target, precise, and detailed. John is a personal and hands-on professional who takes the time to truly know his authors and their work. As a result, his consultation skills are precision tailored and based in the good judgment and knowledge that only develop from years of experience. I can honestly say that John has contributed seasoned expertise to my own work that has furthered my authorship skills and career growth.

It is an honor to write this endorsement for John Bond, whom I have known for over 10 years in my role as author of a textbook he encouraged me to write. Because of his authenticity, integrity, and openness, he earned my respect and trust. He was eager to work with me, patient and encouraging, conscientious and relaxed. He was open to new ideas, reflective of his curiosity and knowledge about my field of occupational therapy. It meant a lot to me that he took the time to get to know me not only as an author but as a person with whom he would interact with warmth and kindness.
